Get set for a free intergalactic adventure! Following five-star reviews across UK and international tours, and a stellar run at the Burton Taylor Studio over Easter, One Small Step is taking off on its free tour around Oxfordshire this spring and summer.
This Oxford Playhouse production, directed by Toby Hulse (Bath Time, Bed Time, Tea Time) and written by former Oxford Playhouse stage door keeper David Hastings, recounts the race between the United States and the Soviet Union to send the first man to the moon.
In 60 thrilling minutes, two actors conjure up more than 40 characters and 50 years of history using simple household objects, bringing to life the history of this amazing exploration and human endeavour into the unknown.
The spacetastic adventure will touch down at Blenheim Palace, Cogges Manor Farm, Common People Festival and Florence Park. As well as the show, the Playhouse Plays Out Tent will be full-to-the-brim with exciting space-themed craft activities, workshops and opportunities to explore the history of the space race like no man (or child) has done before!
Inventive, funny and surprisingly moving, this action-packed show will entertain and delight the whole family. Tickets for One Small Step are free with entry to each attraction.
