Golden Ball at Blenheim Palace For Woodstock Primary School

By Sarah Edwards

Blenheim Palace hosted a Golden Ball Celebration for Woodstock Primary School last month.

The special evening event at the Palace marked the 50th Anniversary of the school at its current location which was gifted to them by 11th Duke of Marlborough back in 1968.

Woodstock Primary school has always enjoyed a very strong connection with Blenheim as founders of the school and through the links we created with the education team which have inspired many events and opportunity for the children.

A spectacular ‘Golden Ball’ for current parents, governors, staff and special community guests was hosted by Blenheim Palace. The Ball was generously supported by several local business sponsors allowing as many parents as possible to attend and enjoy this special evening of celebration.

Over 200 people attended the ball which was held in The Orangery where guests enjoyed an evening of music from singer Jazmine Flowers, a three-course meal created by Head Chef Billy Bush of in-house catering Searcys and a dancing to Oxford based band Ear Candy.

Heather Carter, Operations Director at Blenheim Palace says “We were delighted to host Woodstock Primary School’s celebratory ball. Both the school and the Palace are very much at the heart of the community, and as such we wanted to throw our doors open for this very special anniversary.”

Heloise O’Hagan Event Lead says, “This was quite simply an outstanding event. Everyone had a wonderful and memorable time and we are immensely grateful to Blenheim Palace for hosting us in such elegant style. All who attended had a superb evening, we look forward to another 50 years of brilliant education for Woodstock and local community children.”

Headline sponsors for the event were Flowers Estate Agents, Wise Investment, Woodstock Car Sales, ITB and Owen Mumford.
