Oxford cancer charity Maggie’s is organising a number challenges to help raise funds and increase awareness of the work they do.
This is a 26-mile walk along a section of the Ridgeway, starting and finishing at Moulsford School, Moulsford-on-Thames on Sunday 13 May. There will be training walks organised in the run up to the event to help people prepare for the walk. These will take place all around south Oxfordshire and are open to everyone.
Maggie’s to Maggie’s cycle ride
This is a Maggie’s to Maggie’s challenge cycling 120km from the brand new Maggie’s Barts in the City of London to Maggie’s Oxford. Maggie’s has teamed up cycling specialist Velusso to deliver this special event. Transport to the start will be provided and refreshments at the finish.
Maggie’s Centres provide free practical, emotional and social support for people with cancer and their families and friends. The Centres are staffed by cancer support specialists, benefits advisors, nutritionists and psychologists who can support people in whichever way best suits their needs.
