Safer cycling project to launch in Oxford after fatality

By John Charlton

People in Oxford are invited to gather for the launch of The Claudia Charter for Safer Cycling in Oxford on November 9. The Charter is a direct response to the death of Claudia Comberti, a 31-year-old DPhil student of the University of Oxford’s Environmental Change Institute, who was killed in a collision on the Botley Road whilst riding her bicycle on May 9th 2017.

Thursday 9th November will mark the six month anniversary of her death and since the collision organisers have been working to develop The Claudia Charter, for a safer, friendlier, and more collaborative environment on Oxford’s roads.

The launch will take place at The Tap Social brewery and community space in Botley, close to the site of Claudia’s death.

Thursday November 9, from 5.30 to 7.30pm
