The Great British Bike Off is an alternative, customised bike festival that will be held on Saturday October 21 2017 in Oxford City Centre.
The event will aim to strengthen community cohesion in Oxfordshire with outreach projects and by bringing different groups together from all over the county, encourage more people to cycle, address health inequalities and promote safer cycling.
It will offer individuals and groups the opportunity to restore abandoned unrideable bikes, customise their own bicycles and enter them in a competition, show off existing products or previously customised bicycles and join hundreds of other special bikes on a city-centre parade
There will be 30+ customised bikes, tricycles and mobility aids, merchandise, food and drinks stalls, live bands and DJs and a number of bikes donated to Young People in Oxfordshire.
Proceeds from the event will go to go toward Cowley based charity The Ark-T Centre. The Ark T Centre uses creativity as a tool for self-empowerment and their projects aim to increase wellbeing and personal resilience for people facing multiple disadvantages.
