The Gruffalo at Oxford Playhouse

By John Charlton

Oxford Playhouse welcomes to the stage the fantastic children’s story The Gruffalo playing from Tuesday 22 to Saturday 26 August.

Join Mouse on a daring adventure through the deep, dark wood in Tall Stories’ magical, musical adaptation of the classic book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.

Searching for hazelnuts, Mouse meets the cunning Fox, the eccentric old Owl and the party-mad Snake. Will the story of the terrifying Gruffalo save Mouse from ending up as dinner for these hungry woodland creatures? After all, there’s no such thing as a Gruffalo! – is there?

Songs, laughs and tremendous fun for children aged 3 and up and their grown-ups. This is an ideal summer treat for the family and the chance for little ones to experience the magic of theatre.

Tickets for The Gruffalo at Oxford Playhouse start at £13 and are available from the Ticket Office on 01865 305305 or book online at www.oxfordplayhouse.com
