This weekend (June 16-18) communities across the country are celebrating The Great Get Together, a chance for people to get together with their neighbours to share food and celebrate.
Over 100,000 events are taking place across the country promoted by the Jo Cox Foundation. Jo Cox was stabbed and shot outside her constituency surgery in Batley and Spen, West Yorkshire, on 16 June last year.
Taking inspiration from Jo Cox, Oxford and District Labour Women’s Group are organising a get together and music from the Horns of Plenty for everyone on Sunday June 18 at Rose Hill Community Centre. All are welcome – regardless of political affiliation or gender. Bring a picnic – and join in.
