Formidable Vegetable Sound System at the Isis Farmhouse

By John Charlton

Barracks Lane Community Garden and Oxford City Farm presents an evening of experimental ecological edutainment. Mashing together speakeasy electroswing-style wonk and live ukelele quirk, this Australian festival sensation turns simple solutions for sustainability into an epic dancefloor experience.

Also appearing at the event will be Mal Webb and Kylie Morrigan. Vocal adventurer, multi-instrumentalist and looping beatboxing songwriter Mal sings his brain provoking songs using all sorts of vocal techniques, guitar, mbira, slide trumpet, trombone, chromatic harmonica and a loop recording pedal called Derek. Kylie provides violin and voice in a perfect balance to Mal’s music.

The evening will help raise money for Barracks Lane Community Garden and Oxford City Farm.
