Police and Crime Commissioner candidates announced

By Sarah Edwards

Each of the candidates standing in the Thames Valley Police and Crime Commissioner elections on Thursday May 5 has published a statement setting out what they want to achieve if they are elected.

You can find their statements at www.choosemypcc.org.uk or you can order a printed copy by calling 0800 107 0708.

The Police and Crime Commissioner is responsible for making sure Thames Valley Police is an efficient and effective force.

There is still time to register to vote at this election – the deadline is April 18. To register to vote, visit www.gov.uk/registertovote.

David Buckle, Police Area Returning Officer for the Thames Valley, said: “At the last Police and Crime Commissioner election, some people felt they didn’t know enough about the candidates – the Choose My PCC website is a good place to start this time.”

There’s lots of information about registering to vote, applying to vote by post, and applying for somebody to vote on your behalf at www.aboutmyvote.co.uk
